THDEMS and Doctor Chopper assisting older Lady, FM- 1451, fell, big goose egg on head, vomiting. Dep. Robert Willis to FCR-1090, verbal combatants each told to go to their own corners.

Pit Bull reported trying to bite boyfriend on Mulberry. Fairfield City Worker to flowing gusher, East Commerce. TPD Howard to civil standby on J.A. Brooks, noted 30 Marijuana plants growing in yard, one arrested for same. Fema and Fairfield VFD to possible stroke, Bond Street. Loose black bull, FCR-790, owner contacted, enroute. Son bit by dog on Oak in Teague, Animal Control picks up same. Wild Turkey reported on FM-489. Man has tried to shoo it away from the pavement that it won't be run over, but just won't leave, Game Warden to call him. Suspicious woman once again on Mimosa Lane, TPD Howard to same. Teague VFD assisting Mexia FD with large fire, FCR-976. FPD handles report of missing juvenile, North Bateman. Deputies serve Emergency Detention Order on Lady, as usual had trouble finding a bed. At first the only available bed in the State for MHMR was Big Spring… ..A closer one came open in Wichita Falls so she was carried there. This happens pretty frequently. MHMR has been curtailed with the budget for too many years now. The Legislature has no idea the problems their financial cutbacks cause small, rural Counties. 30 years ago Texas was one of the frontrunners as regards MHMR…..Now we're on the other end, approaching last place. Wake up, Austin!

Deputy Thomas Hendrix arrests man on Theft Warrant out of Wichita Falls. Deputy Shaw handles allegations of child abuse, CPS advised. Dep. Barrentine assists in recovering truck reported stolen in Palestine with full cooperation of the property owner who was not a party.

Last week I warned about accepting long distance phone calls from Jail Houses collect….A local person DID accept one of those calls, was informed by the man at the other end that he was a Sgt. in the Harris County Jail Division. He gave the name of the Collect Caller, and was told this name was unknown to the called party. The Sgt. then said "Oh my, this means you're going to get stuck with this phone bill, which is already over $25.00…..Tell you what, we'll take care of it on this end if you'll just send us a check for $10.50 to our address!" ……As suspected, it was all a SCAM. Caller ID was used and it was a blocked number. This was not a Harris County Sgt., nor was the call made from the Harris County Sheriff's Office. You've got to be on guard at all times these days!

To Dermatologist this week a few days ago. He did a number on me. At present have dead skin all over face, and a bright maroon to red coloration completely over same. Pretty miserable looking and pretty miserable, too. Hope it starts feeling better pretty quick. If you see me, and I'm funnier looking than normal, that is what the deal is. Too much Irish in me I suppose and too many years in the sun along IH-45.
