Helen Marie Vidaurri

Funeral services for Helen Marie Vidaurri, age 54, of Oakwood were held 4:00 P.M. Wednesday , April 15, 2009 in the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo. Rev. Lee Weiler officiated the services. Interment followed in the Keechi Cemetery near Buffalo.

Helen was born April 12, 1954 in Houston to Conrad and Margie Grubbs Kroll. She had lived in Oakwood since 1987 and was a food service supervisor at the Oakwood Independent School District for twenty one years. Her family relates that she enjoyed helping other people with their needs before thinking of her own needs. She was a special person to the children at her school; she assisted them with whatever they needed. Prior to working for the Oakwood ISD, she worked for Trinity Valley Hospital in Palestine. She was preceded in death by her fathers Conrad Kroll and Eldridge Cooper and her mother Margie Cooper. Helen passed away Saturday evening April 11, 2009 in Madisonville just a few hours before her fifty fifth birthday.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Vidaurri of Oakwood, Texas; daughter, Kimberly Brooks and husband, Delmar of Marshall, Texas; sons, Keith Pearson and Amy of Palestine, Texas, Jimmy Price and Meagan of Oakwood, Texas; brothers, Archie Kroll of Cleveland, Texas, Conrad Kroll of Montgomery, Texas, Terry Cooper of Huffman, Texas, Billy Cooper of Huntsville, Texas; sisters, Marylyn Schultz of Montgomery, Texas, Jo Ann Sites of Centerville, Texas and Sherry Dunn of Centerville, Texas. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.

The pallbearers were Keith Pearson, Jimmy Price, Chris Vidaurri, Michael Vidaurri, Jacob Brooks, and Delmar Brooks.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home.
