Tornado causes no reported damage
Russell Collins Mother Nature was merciful to Leon County last week, when severe weather came barreling through the area but no storm-related damage was reported.
According to Meterologist Gary Woodall with the National Weather Service, there was a confirmed tornado near Easterly and wind damage in Franklin. Based on the Easterly storm, the NWS issued a tornado warning for western Leon County. Checking in with Centerville 9-1-1 after the fact, Woodall stated that there were no confirmed damages reported after the storm moved through. "There was radar indication, but it was not able to touch ground," Woodall concluded.
