Construction begins on FM 1848 completion expected in mid-summer

Construction has begun on FM 1848, from US 79 to the Freestone County Line, to restore and widen the existing roadway. Motorists who travel this area should expect minor delays and obey all traffic control in the area.

This $324,784.68 routine maintenance project is contracted to Big Creek Construction Company. The project is expected to be complete by mid-summer of 2009.
