Baptist youth group heats up the Angel Fire ski slopes

Tak Jumsai Tak Jumsai Members of the First Baptist Church youth group and friends composed a group of fifteen who enjoyed a spring break ski trip at Angel Fire Resort in New Mexico. While temperatures were not quite "firey", the spring skiing conditions were relatively warm -- evidenced by a bikini-clad ski bunny with whom they shared the slopes. Happily, the Buffaloites got in all the skiing they could stand as they ushered out the last snow of the 2009 season.

For BHS junior Tak Jumsai, an exchange student from Thailand, the trip was her first opportunity to experience snow. After a single morning class in Ski School, Tak mastered the basics of the sport and was comfortable skiing green and even blue runs by the end of the trip.

The trip was organized by FBC youth ministers Dar- rol and Rhonda Reeder, and participants included the Reeders and their son Kyle, Gayle and Kayla Ray, Carolyn and Cassie Ferguson, Tak Jumsai, Becca Dolling, Ethan Dujay, Reece Jackson, Ras and Ryan Goodwyn, and Ron and Vanessa Goodwyn.
