Nelson wins 5K in Huntsville
      Chad Nelson of Buffalo was the overall winner in the 1st Annual Ronald Run For a Reason 5K held Saturday, 3/21 in Huntsville, Texas. The 3.1 mile race began at the Intramural Field at Sam Houston State University and proceeded through the challenging hills surrounding the SHSU campus.

      With all District 21AA teams eliminated from the State Playoffs, coaches have released their 2008-09 All-District selections. Buffalo junior Jordan Canady earned a spot on the FIRST TEAM ALL DISTRICT, along with Centerville's Clay Hardee.

Bison struggle in Spring Break contests

      The Buffalo Bison faced two tough opponents last week in District 21AA baseball action, and fell hard to both Trinity and Corrigan- Camden. Travelling to Trinity on Tuesday March 17th, the Bison had Travis King on the mound in the early innings. He pitched three strikeouts in two innings, but the Tigers got his number in the second and scored five runs.

Lady Bison Score three more Wins
      Last week might have been a break for some of the students at Buffalo High School, but it was a busy week for the softball and baseball teams. The Lady Bison hosted Groveton on Monday for a make up game. The Lady Bison traveled to Trinity on Tuesday before hosting Corrigan-Camden on Friday.
