Buffalo and Centerville faced off in district baseball action on Tuesday afternoon at the BHS field. Logan Beard started on the mound for BHS and Devin Smith was the starting pitcher for the Tigers.

The game was scoreless through two innings but the Tigers drew first blood in the top of the third as #`1 scored on an RBI single by Jeremy Hammock. Buffalo threatened in their at-bat, but left two men on in the bottom of the inning.

Centerville got off to a good start in the fourth, with leadoff batter Cody Bonilla safely on with no outs. The Bison defense snuffed the threat however. Bonilla was picked off at first, then catcher Ryan Read made Out #2 by climbing into

the backstop fence to catch a foul. Shortstop Aaron Bell went high to rob Will Mahaffey of a line drive, ending the Tigers' atbat. The Bison left two men stranded again in the bottom of the inning.

The Tigers got four runs in the top of the fifth, and Coach Mark Read brought in Travis King to relieve Mc- Nair.
