Hampton Inn & Suites opens new property in Buffalo

Guest Services Representative Crystal Wilson and General Manager Amanda Barnard welcomed guests and visitors as Buffalo's newest hotel opened its doors on Wednesday. The new Hampton Inn & Suites quietly opened their doors on Tuesday afternoon, welcoming guests and members of the community to check out their handsome new facility. And first impressions ARE impressive, from the bubbling three-urn fountain at the entrance to the tastefully decorated lobby with a contemporary, slightly Oriental look.

The three-story hotel on the hill overlooking Hwy 79 and I-45 features 77 rooms, including 24 suites. The suites are spacious and in- clude a wet bar. Suites and Kings include a mini-fridge and microwave for their guests' convenience, which can be stocked from the "Suite Shop" downstairs which carries frozen dinners, snack foods, gourmet brands of ice creams and the like. There are also double-queen rooms available. Tall, fluffy beds feature pristine duvet coverings which are washed with every check-out.

The new hotel has some pretty impressive features to make their guests comfortable and happy. An indoor fitness center on the first floor is open 'round the clock and features top-line Precor workout equipment. The indoor pool is long enough for laps and beautiful to boot, with three continuous fountains and separate hot tub. A 24/7 coffee center features Hampton's private-label ("Starbucks-quality") coffee, with cookies, too, as guests arrive in the evening. Business travellers will appreciate that all rooms and the community table in the lobby have both wire and wireless high-speed internet access, and if you didn't bring your computer, there's a business center where you can check your email. Guests will also enjoy a substantial hot breakfast, rather than the Continental-style fare sometimes offered at hotels. And all those special services are complementary to the Hampton guests.

"We don't 'nickel and dime' people to death," stated General Manager Amanda Barnard, who has managed properties up and down the East Coast and calls herself "a huge Hampton fan".

Administrators are excited about being in Buffalo, described as an "ideal" location halfway between Dallas and Houston and intersecting two major highways. Hampton plans to be a good neighbor, and already employs 18 local residents. The hotel has already joined the local Chamber of Commerce with a five-year membership. "We do like to be very involved in the community," the General Manager insists.

A Grand Opening will be planned in the near future.
