Smoke hangs over Hwy 164

Late Monday afternoon found much of Leon County blanketed in a grey smoke. Happily, it turned out, the source was not a local fire. Calls to the sheriff's office revealed that an 1800- acre controlled burn near Lake Conroe was the source of the smoke, carried by a southerly wind.
