Fly-Fishing Novices should register for Fly Fish Texas Classes

ATHENS, Texas—Persons interested in receiving basic fly-fisher certification at Fly Fish Texas should preregister for classes by March 5.

The classes for youth ages six to 18 are offered as part of Fly Fish Texas March 7 and will be taught by Bill Sargeant, other members of the Dallas Fly-Fishers and Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center staff. At the conclusion of the class students will receive Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's basic flyfisher certification. One adult can accompany students to the class. The class and all Fly Fish Texas activities are free with paid admission to TFFC.

Both morning and afternoon sessions will be offered, and attendance will be limited. Preregistration is required in order to reserve a space: Call Craig Brooks at (903) 670-2222 to register.

Persons registered for the class should meet at the TFFC admissions booth at least 15 minutes prior to class times of 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
