BROWNWOOD - February 2009 - Buffalo native, Jami Oliver Gainey, received honors at Howard Payne University (HPU). Gainey was named to the President's List for the fall semester of 2008. Students must earn a 4.0 grade point average to be named to the President's List, a 3.65-3.99 grade point average to be named to the Dean's List, and a 3.5-3. More ... After investigation it was discovered that a machine had malfunctioned causing the fire alarm to be triggered. More ... Funeral services for Mr. James Raymond Noey, age 75, were held on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Marquez. Interment followed the service at Winn Cemetery. Bro. Lee Weiler officiated. Mr. Noey was born May 16, 1933 in Leon County and passed away February 15, 2009 at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. More ...
