Thiele, P.C. of Belton, tell the board of directors that the Flo Water system was "in sound shape."

The asset level of Flo Water has recovered from a low of around $30,000 when this board took over to a reported $346,583 at the time of this audit. The audit is public information and available free of charge at the corporate offices at Flo.

Representatives of the grant firm, the engineers, and several contractors working on the renovation of the wells at Flo were in attendance, following the board's expressed unease with some of the charges resulting from the work on the wells. After some discussion between the parties, what could have been a acrimonious confrontation turned into a love fest with one charge being reduced, and others being explained.

The Board went into executive session and approved a purchase of three acres of land from A.L. Helmcamp for the purpose of drilling a new well in that area that needs one so badly.

The board discussed purchasing two new trucks for the Corp., and General Manager Jim Martin reported to the Board that they were not eligible for the governmental discounts offered in the purchasing coops because they were not legally a government agency. Some discussion followed about becoming a Special Utility District at a cost of about $30,000. The transition would take a year however and would not aid in the purchase of trucks that are needed now.

The directors discussed and authorized the purchase of a new phone system for the office and then agreed to hold their March regular meeting at 8 a.m. on the 28th, before the annual meeting at 10 a.m.
