Lena Darst Whittington

Lena Darst Whittington, known and loved as "Lou", passed away at her hometown of Plaqueine, Louisiana on January 30, 2009.

Born September 4, 1959, Lou is survived by her husband James R. Whittington, Sr., two sons, James (Rusty) Whittington of Longbeach, Mississippi and Hoyt (Scooter) Whittington of U.S. Army Barracks at Ft. Polk, Louisiana; one daughter, Brandi (James) Brewer of Plaquemine, Louisana and four grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Leslie Stone of Plaquemine, LA, one sister, Kera Stone Reyna of Buffalo, Texas and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Lou was preceded in death by: her father, Claytin Darst of Mississippi; her mother Bertha Lee Johnston Stone of White Castle, Louisiana; two brothers, Michael and Mark Darst, and by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
