This week's cook is Doris Yvonne Carpenter Pittman who has been married to Johnny Pittman for 44 years. The Pittman's moved to Leon County from the Ft. Worth area about 7 years ago when they moved to Doris' mother's house on FM 1618. The couple has one daughter who currently lives with them. More ... When I watch Wade, my very excited 3-year-old son, I see a picture of health, with the exception of a little cold every now and then. When he starts eating "snacks," his code word for junk food, I get a little nervous, because I know that he is at risk for heart disease as he grows up. It is genetic, but it does not mean he has to let it just happen. More ... This morning, as I sat down at my computer to write this article, I happened to notice a little scroll hanging on my wall entitled "I Asked God."
