North Creek Baptist Church

by Tom Nolen

The Month of January is almost over and it is time to go on to the next month on the computer. The church year has ended and the new one is well under way. The visitors were prevalent today and brought the attendance up to around 75. Not bad for the fourth Sunday of the month. The plans for the gala dinner for February 15th at 6:00 P.M. have been developed and the theme is "under the stars. ". It will be more or less formal and everyone is expected to wear something formal such as a gown or tuxedo and bow tie. It has been referred to as a "sweetheart banquet". A new treasurer will begin in March and relieve this old man. The new one will be Murley Johnson. He is the one person who is more than qualified as he has just retired from a career as a computer programmer. Just what is needed for treasurer. Thanks for your prayers for me while I was in the hospital recovering from a hip replacement. The column was written in my absence by My daughter Ola Purslow. Kudos to her for the good job she did on it. Folks North Creek is about to take off and have a growing spurt. It has happened before and the conditions are right for a repeat performance. If you are a Christian and are not now attending some church on a regular basis… Come on down to North Creek and let's get acquainted and serve the Lord together. See ya there."
