Ramblings from Centerville Healthcare Center

by Brenda Rae, AD

I have just finished the February newsletter and calendar and am in the process of decorating for Valentine's Day. We will have a bake sale in front of Lacey's Grocery on February 13 starting at 7:30 a.m., all proceeds will benefit the Activities Department, which will ultimately benefit the residents. We have so many who sponsor our endeavors, and we thank in advance those who donate baked goods to our effort to make the lives of our residents better. Mark this date on our calendars and come out and purchase a little goody for your sweet tooth or maybe for someone you love.

My articles have been a little sporadic these last few weeks as I have been out a lot, but maybe we are on the mend and will be here more than two days a week.

Our February calendar is looking pretty full. I hope we keep busy and our time is filled with meaningful activities. Super Bowl Sunday looks like it will be a good one this year. We'll watch the game in the front lobby and enjoy snacks during half time. We will have a Valentine's Day party on the 10th, and a birthday party on the 7th and another on the 13th.

We have a new volunteer who calls bingo on Thursday morning much to the delight of all the residents. Nancy we are so glad to have you!

We are also glad to have the Extension Club with us. These ladies know how to have a good time. Maida and Brother Simpson, Perry Jones, Gussie and Lester Simons, all the churches, and Brother Ed and Joyce, just to mention a few. How very blessed we are to have you all! God Bless!
