Leon Junior High Lady Cougars lose to Franklin

The Leon Junior High Lady Cougars fell before the Franklin Lady Lions in the Leon gym on January 12. The Cougars trailed by four at the end of the first period and the Lions increased their advantage to eight at half time, 15-7. The deficit grew to eleven at the end of the third quarter (23-12) and the final score was 39-15. Christina Simpson hit 2 three-pointers and had thirteen points to lead the Cougars. In addition she grabbed several rebounds on both ends of the court. Courtney Dudley and Natalie Music each added a free throw.
