Representative Jim Dunnam Sworn in for 7th Term

AUSTIN--Representative Jim Dunnam was sworn in on Tuesday for his 7th term in the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 57.

District 57 includes Falls, Leon, Madison and Robertson Counties, plus a portion of McLennan County.

Rep. Dunnam has been the House Democratic Leader for the last 6 years and continues his leadership into the 81st legislative session.

"I am honored to again serve the people of District 57 for another term," said Rep.Dunnam. "This session many important issues that affect our community are being discussed and I will work hard to ensure that the priorities of our district are met."

The Texas Legislature will stay in session for 140 days between January 13th and June 1st. This is the 81st session since Texas entered the Union in 1845.
