Leon JV ladies slip by the Iola Lady 'Dogs

The Leon JV Lady Cougars slipped by the Iola Lady Bulldogs 19- 13 in a low scoring non-district match up at Jewett on January 6. Both teams had trouble finding the basket as the first quarter ended even at 2-2 but the Cougars pulled ahead to lead by nine at half time. The lead increased to ten by the end of the third period and the Cougars held on to win 19- 13. C.C. Grayson led the Cougars in scoring with six plus she had many rebounds on the defensive and offensive boards.
