Thelma Christine Gressett

Funeral services for Thelma Christine Gressett, age 59, of Buffalo, Texas, were held 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo. Bro. Robert Read officiated and interment was in the Concord Cemetery.

Thelma Christine Gressett was born in Martinez, California to Hardy Leon and Bobbie (Smith) Williams. She lived most of her life in Buffalo and the Buffalo area. She loved all animals; especially Booger and Festus, which were her dog and cat. She loved her family, and her grandchildren loved to call her "Nannie." She was a Christian and was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her Mom & Dad; her sister, Roberta Lee Silva and a brother, Michael Hardy Williams. Thelma passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009 at her residence.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Mike Gressett of Buffalo, Texas; her son, Johnny Furlow and wife Patty, of Tatum, Texas; her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Thornton and husband, Kelvin of Jewett, Texas, a stepson, Michael Wayne Gressett of Dayton, Texas and a step-daughter, Joanna Lynn Culpeper and husband Eddie of Groesbeck, Texas; two sisters, Marsha Lundholm and husband, Buster Elrod of Somerville, Texas, Rita Mc- Broom and husband, Mike of LaPorte, Texas, nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Tina Lee and Paula Lawson.

The pallbearers were Harlon Gressett, William Steed, Ronnie Roberts, Bubba Hennard, Buster Elrod, and Kurt Thornton. The honorary pallbearers were Kelvin Thornton, and Shannon Gressett.

Funeral services were under the direction of Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo.
