Severe storm program scheduled for January 26
Storm observing, reporting procedures, and safety to be emphasized
      The 2008 storm season in north Texas was one of the more violent in recent history. Thirty-four tornadoes were reported across the area, and destructive windstorms, large hail, and deadly flooding all made appearances in our area. The toll on life and property was significant, with many casualties and damage in the tens of millions of dollars.

RRC Production Statistics and Allowables for January 2009
      AUSTIN -- The Texas average rig count as of Dec. 12, was 821, representing about 48 percent of all active land rigs in the United States. In the last 12 months, total Texas reported production was 343 million barrels of oil and 7.1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Texas natural gas production represents approximately 29 percent of total U.S. natural gas demand.

December 31 Marshall Robinson, Jacob Cunningham, and Kevin Raboin responded to a brush fire on Railroad Street. Buffalo PD also responded.

      Despite the twelve-hour drive, the blizzard, and the unbelievable crowdedness, my Christmas vacation to Angel Fire, New Mexico was a blast! And beause this was my first time to ski in five years, I needed the practice! For Christmas, my boyfriend, Colton Ferguson, and his family gave me a ski trip to the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico.
