The UIL district realignments were announced on February 2nd, and it meant some big changes for Leon County school districts. The new assignment will last for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 school years.

Two BHS band students earn spots in Centex honor band

Buffalo High School band students attended auditions for the Central Texas Honor Band at McGregor High School on Wednesday, January 25. Two students were awarded positions in the bands and invited to return on Saturday for an all day clinic and concert. Student musicians work with guest conductors from around the state learning 3-4 pieces of music in only a short 6 hours of rehearsal.

Hog dogs and wild hogs create excitement at hunting competition

135 contestants, making up 34 teams from all over the state, competed in the Second Annual Boars of Texas Hog Hunting Competition held in Caldwell, Texas on Sunday, January 29th. Each was after their share of $10,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs this year.

Kross’ debut album release party open to public

Febrary is Love Your Library month

The Buffalo Library Board and Friends of the library will be celebrating, “Love Your Library” all month. The library is displayclassmates, ing a history table honoring the 1977 Friends of the Library who established the library. The display will be up until March 30th.
