Chloe Looney preparing a goat and a hog for the Livestock Show
     Eleven year old fifth grader Chloe Looney is preparing a Boer goat, named Champ, and a hog, called Susan for the Leon County Youth Livestock Show which begins next week.  “Everyone in my family loves animals.” Chloe says.   “I like it, it’s awesome, and a life experience.” She adds precisely.  Chloe participates in Buffalo 4-H.

Mid-East Texas Groundwater to hold public hearing
     The Mid-East Texas Groundwater Conservation District will be conducting a Board Meeting/ Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. The meeting will begin at 6:00 PM and will be in Centerville at the Leon County Courthouse - Annex I, 113 W. Main (3rd Floor). This meeting is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
