Sheriff Kevin Ellis holds first of 2014 Area Meetings in Leon County
     Leon County Sheriff Kevin Ellis kicked off the first of several Area Meetings at the Buffalo Civic Center on August 21. Buffalo City Council members, the Buffalo Police Chief and members of the media were present, but few others attended. Sheriff Ellis said that was a good sign because it showed that people had few complaints.

All Leon County citizens are invited to attend the following scheduled Area Meetings: • Normangee Area Meeting, Harmony Baptist Church, Thursday, September 4th, 6:30 p.m. • Centerville Area Meeting, Upstairs Court Room, Old Courthouse, Thursday, September 25, 6:30 p.m.

Buffalo Police Report
     Officer Mouton to Craig Street for a civil matter. No action taken. Officer Mouton to Commerce Street for harassment. Upon arrival, officer made contact with complainant regarding a subject that was calling and harassing her. Officer advised subject to stop calling the complainant.

Leon County Sheriff’s Report
     08/13/14 Jimmy Gifford responded to CR 224 for the report of an alarm and Leona for the report of a disturbance – Family Advocate contacted. Donnie Mordecai responded to Centerville for the report of criminal mischief. Tommy Page was dispatched to CR 364 for the report of theft and CR 372 for the report of a civil matter.
